Every Thursday evening from 7:00pm to Friday morning 5:00am CT, Craneware makes updates to our systems and products.

During this update period, ALL PRODUCTS MAY BE DOWN and unavailable for client use.

Summary Update: ABN Form CMS R 131

Attention InSight Medical
Necessity Users: The Advance
Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), Form CMS-R-131 (Exp. 01/31/2026), has
expired. CMS has confirmed that the updated form is currently in the Paperwork
Reduction Act (PRA) process and awaiting OMB approval.



Monitoring



Our team from The Craneware
Group continues to actively monitor CMS updates and will share instructions
when the finalized ABN is released. Until CMS completes the approval process
and issues formal guidance, providers should continue using the current ABN.



Per CMS, providers may use
the current version until the OMB control number is reauthorized. CMS will
notify the industry and update CMS.gov once approval is complete.
